Can you see it?

There is a hidden picture. Can you spot it? Make your guesses and I will announce the answer soon!

Ms Lye in China (By request of Joey!)

Going on stage to receive prize!! We won!! BEst team spirit!!

You wouldn't believe this. He was my teacher when I was in Sec 3!

We went on a tour of Guilin. Beautiful scenery!

Most of the people who went on the trip.. I have no idea where the lost sheep were though

One of my faves during the trip. He has kept me very entertained on the plane with his funny indian accent.

China's people mode of transport in the freezing river

Wild duckies swimming in the river. Yummy! =P

Mother cow with the calf. So cute!

Going to sightsee. The girl on the far right was my roommate for 6 days. lovely gal.

That's about all. There are still many, but I think I better stop here before I bore you further. Heh.

I'm back!

Dearest 4G,

How is everyone? I'm back from China! ^_^ Its not too cold there and I did enjoy myself on the trip, though I was supposed to be there for a competition. heh. To my dismay, I did not manage to do any shopping at all. So sad.

How was the last three days of school without me around? I bet you nearly tore the classroom down, right? I heard a number of complaints already. You should be glad that when school reopens, most of you are in different classes so I can't come after you anymore. Humph.

I heard a few of you got into the top 3 classes! Congratulations! Your hard work has paid off. Do continue to work harder ok? For those of you who did not, put in extra effort in your work. You will be able to do well only if you believe in yourself.

As for this blog, I will not shut it down. I will keep it running. It will serve as a communication channel for us to stay in contact.

Take care, kids. Enjoy your holidays!

Love,
Ms Lye

Goodbye!

Dearest 4G,

I should have written this before I flew off, but there were a million and one things to be done then so I had to wait till I get back from my trip before I can pen it down.

First of all, thank you so much for the 'surprise' you planned for me. It was really sweet of you. BUT no more rumours about Elton and me, thank you. I already have my hands full just taking care of you! Can I have a copy of the powerpoint slides? I want to keep it as a momento. My fond memories of teaching you kids. =)

I hope you liked the cake and the ice-cream. Don't have time to do a proper party, so sorry about that. Maybe next time you kids can organize an outing or BBQ! Don't forget to invite the old woman here then ok!

Anyway, I am really sad to say goodbye to all of you, yes, including those irritating people in class. It has been a great year teaching all of you. I don't know about you, but I really enjoyed teaching you. I hope you have all learnt a valuable lesson in life from me and will not forget the wonderful times we had in class.

Well, all the best to all of you. Please work really hard next year and do me proud. I can hold my head up high and tell others: She/he was my student in primary 4! Take care and I will definitely miss ALL OF YOU!

Lots of hugs,
Ms Lye

Exams over... SOON!!

Dearest 4G,

I know all of you are counting down to the end of the exams, SO AM I!! I simply can't wait anymore. No more nights of marking your worksheets till late night and scolding you for your silly careless mistakes; no more hugging of your worksheets to sleep when I doze off while marking; no more nightmares about you not doing well... Well, I guess you are not the only ones who do not enjoy preparing for the exams!

Anyway, I've finished marking English. Tomorrow will be marking Maths then I will know how much of my teaching did you actually learn. Sigh. I just hope you will not disappoint me. *keeping my fingers crossed* English... Well, let's just say some of you have made me REALLY happy. ^_^

The end of the exams marks the end of 2006, which is when I will be saying goodbye and good luck to all of you. It has been a terrific year teaching you, I hope you feel the same way too. I guess I will be sad when we part our ways. Although you have not failed to make my blood pressure rise and give me near heart attacks, I really did enjoy all the times I have spent with you. Maybe I feel closer to you as we went through NDP together. Whatever it is, I hope you have learnt something positive from my teaching, be it in terms of moral values or in terms of your work. As I always say, you enter my classroom like a blank piece of paper and I hope that I have written something useful that will follow you throughout the rest of your life when you leave my classroom at the end of the year.

I will be leaving for China on the 15th for a competition so my time left with you will be even lesser. I hope we will cherish what time we have left together and have some smashing loads of fun!!!

Till then, good luck for Science paper tomorrow!

Love,
Ms Lye
